Everyday, all needs high quality, low 70g dose rate and high inclusion levels of all essential minerals, vitamins and amino acids missing from everyday equine diets.
Two ways to feed:
1)HHIO Foundation pellets only daily + a bucket of loose salt available ad-lib in paddock. Suitable with all grass, hay, haylage (dry) or a combination of all 3. For less hard keepers in winter up to light level of work using the HHIO Foundation pellets only - the addition of haylage is a quick way to add higher calories and energy without the need to add a bucket feed. Be sure to continue to feed hay alongside haylage to ensure a healthy digestive tract with ample horse appropriate dry matter and that the haylage is a drier type. If your horse struggles with weight and is a real hard keeper, feed one of our bucket feeds alongside an everyday formula + a specific formula to fully support their needs. Once they have achieved full health then you can look to switch to the pellet only feeding if appropriate.
2) In a bucket feed - feed alongside your chosen HHIO Base feed choice + salt. Ideal if your horse is in medium + work including travel, competition or a harder keeper with any issues involving joints, inflammation, digestive, behaviour etc. Adding an omega 3 source (within the base feed) is an important help for these feeding situations.
Please note these are concentrated mineral pellets and not full of commercial processed 'yummy' ingredients. They may take time for your equine to get acustomed to or they may not. If in doubt, please get a tester bag first and/or feed with a small feed like a cup of Harvest Grains DIY Smart Feed or Smart Chaff. They do have a strong minerally type odour which initially can be off putting and were a bit stronger than anticipated compared to our trial run of Vital pellets. Once out of the packing box and the bag opened it settles down and when you take a handful out they don't smell so strong. We welcome all feedback and may increase the dose rate in future runs to dilute the smell, if necessary.

Targets the commonly deficient minerals, vitamins and aminos whilst not contributing to excessive ones (Iron, Manganese & Potassium!). It is jammed packed with everything your horse typically needs. Handful of pellets (70g) a day - not much easier than that!
Please note, this is a highly concentrated mineral pellet - just like our powder formulations. Palatability has been 90% when feeding alone. 100% within a bucket feed. If your horse is used to commercial premixed balancer pellets - they may need a period to adjust to the more plain feeding approach. We usually suggest to introduce 1/4 new pellets - 3/4 old pellets, 1/2 - 1/2, 3/4 - 1/4 then fully over, or may just need a little chaff initially to adapt to the change. A handul of Harvest Grains DIY Smart Feed or Smart Chaff are our go to. Can be used alone or within a plain whole feed with no minerals added. Just add salt either within a bucket feed, or available loose in a bucket in paddock away from trough if feeding pellets alone.

Specifications
Suitable for all equines - specifically those that hold their weight easily up to light work level (couple hours a week) and have no major issues. If issues presenting we suggest feeding a HHIO recommended bucket feed combined with an Everyday Formula + a Specific help formula, until health restored.
Please note these are highly concentrated and therefore may require introduction depending on the horse and the feed they are used too. We suggest a handful of Harvest Grains DIY Smart Feed or Harvest Grains Smart Chaff if you are having any reluctance to eat, then slowly wean off. If in doubt purchase a tester bag to try first.

Pellets include a very small amount of 'vege' oil (can be a combo or alone inclusion of soya, canola or vegetable). Unfortunately it's not what we had envisioned - in an ideal world we would have loved cold pressed flax seed oil. Unfortunately this was outside the realms of possibility and feasibility on a large scale and within the scope of our family business resources. All up you are looking at about 5ml (teaspoon) of oil per 70g dose, which taking the whole dietary intake into account, would not impact your horses optimum health.
